Most accommodation in Tahiti is in the form of villas, lodges, and small or large resorts. However, a few of the larger resorts - though not 5 star - are 'hotel style', able to provide hotel type facilities, hotel rooms, accommodate large groups and cater for business visitors as well as families and individuals.
Most resort hotels will hold an Island Night at least once a week. This is your chance to sample the local cuisine and watch or participate in Tahiti dancing.
If you wish to take island tours, go diving, sport or gamefishing, most resort hotels will be able to help you with this.
If you are travelling as a family, many of the resorts have special deals, discounted meals, kids clubs, babysitting available and so on. Ask for details when you email them.
On the other hand, if you are choosing the Cooks Islands for your honeymoon or wedding destination, many of the larger resort hotels will be able to help you with arrangements for your paradise vacation of a lifetime.
